Painted Harvest

Good morning and thank you for taking the time to check out my blog!

My card this morning features Stampin’Up! Painted Harvest stamp set. This is a sunflower themed set. And it coordinates with the leaf punch. Now I really like the idea when Stampin’Up! has stamp sets which coordinates with tools we already have or at least most of us have. With the end of August approaching, fall is ever so slightly knocking on the door. The region I live in we are still in full swing of summer with temperatures hovering in the upper 90’s and heat indexes are still 105 F and above. But maybe some of you are already getting a small taste of fall. I have to say Fall is probably my favorite time of the year. With this said, here is what I came up with:

For this card I started using Crushed Curry cardstock for my base card. My card measures 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. The first layer is Soft Suede cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Next my second layer is Whisper White cardstock measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″. I used the Crackled Paint background stamp and Soft Suede ink to stamp the image on the second layer. On Whisper White cardstock stamp two sunflower images using Mango Melody ink. I cut the images out with scissors. The center of the sunflower was stamped with Soft Suede ink. I inked the leaves with Garden Green and used the Leaf punch to cut the images out. My sentiment and the inside of this card all came from this set. I thought the color combination Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Whisper White make for a great fall card. My material list is as follows.

Check You Out!

Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog!

Today’s card features a truly awesome stamp set I just happened to stumble across in the 2019-2020 Stampin’Up! catalog. Check you out! Awesome set for school beginnings or even as a graduation card. It’s just too cute. This cute set can be found on Pg. 58 in the main catalog. It includes 16 photopolymer stamps. My favorite is that cute little owl. You can even put some glasses on him. Just adorable! But enough of that here is what I came up with!

For this card I used Gray Granite cardstock for my base card. My base card measures 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. A piece of Whisper White cardstock was used for my first layer. The second layer is Cherry Cobbler cardstock and I stamped small books evenly onto the cardstock with Cherry Cobbler ink. I stamped the owl image with Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out. I used Cherry Cobbler ink for the first book, Crushed Curry ink for the second book and Pretty Peacock ink for the last book. I cut all the books out and glued them to another piece of Gray Granite cardstock as shown. I positioned the owl on top of the book and adhered the image with Multipurpose glue. Next I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock and cut that out with a 1/2″ circle punch. I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and cut out another circle using a 3/4″ punch. An old stamp was used for the inside however that cute little heart is from the Check You Out stamp set. Below is my material list for this card:

It’s A Lovely Day

Hi Everyone and thank you for stopping by.

Some exciting news, I will start September 2nd with my own video tutorials. Since I have never done this before, I will need the help of some experts. Like I have said before I have the tendency to overthink. In so many words it’s probably super easy. But just in case I run into a snag, I decided to practice and figure a few things out before going live and embarrassing myself. But enough of that! My card today was inspired by the Paper Players Color Challenge: PP454.

And this is what I came up with:

For this project I used the Lovely Is The Day Bundle set. My colors are Basic Black for my base card. The first layer is Whisper White followed by a second layer of Pear Pizzazz. I used the stitched rectangle shapes to cut out a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped the image onto that piece with Memento Black ink and colored it with Stampin Blends. Next I cut the image with the coordinating die. Some of the dies in this set do not cut the image fully out giving this particular piece a 3D dimension. I lifted the pieces with my bone folder. Looking at it makes me think that the leaves and flowers in that image are wavy. The sentiment came from the Free As A Bird set. I decorated the card with Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets.

Materials for this card are as followed:

Free As A Bird

Hello and thank you for stopping by today!

This is one of those days where I have a difficult time choosing what kind of card to create. I’m looking through my stash of stamp sets and just couldn’t make up my mind. It probably took a good hour or so to finally make a decision. I bought this bundle set just recently namely because of the stitched nested label dies which come with this bundle. The set I’m referring to is called FREE AS A BIRD and is on page 91 in the 2019-2020 Stampin’Up! catalog. Absolutely adorable and the stitched nested label dies are so versatile. So let’s have a look:

For this card I simply cut Whisper White cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. The first layer was embossed using the 3D Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder and it measures 5-1/4″ x 4″. I inked the edges with Gray Granite ink. Using a sponge dauber dipped in Gray Granite ink, I ever so lightly brushed over the embossed cardstock. I wrapped twine around the first layer three times. I adhered that layer to the base card using dimensionals. Next I stamped the image onto Whisper White cardstock and colored it with Stampin Blends. My choice of Blends were Calypso Coral, light Crumb Cake, dark Granny Apple, light Coastal Cabana and dark Lovely Lipstick. The nested label dies were used to cut the image out. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black ink and the flower was colored using dark Lovely Lipstick. This set makes great friendship cards.

My Materials for this card are:

Friendship Card

Hello and welcome for visiting my blog today!

Todays card was inspired by the Fab Friday stampin Challenge #169. This is the sketch which was given to us:

This is the card I’m submitting for this challenge:

The Daisy Lane Bundle set was my choice to create this card. I used Petal Pink for my base card. For my first card layer Mossy Meadow made a great addition. I embossed that layer with the 3D layered Leaves Embossing folder. Next I cut a small strip of  Basic Black cardstock. I punched out a circle with the 2-1/4″ Circle Punch. Next I stamped the fern image with Old Olive onto the circle (as shown). I stamped a medium daisy twice onto whisper white cardstock using Mango Melody ink. I punched the daisies out with  the coordinating daisy punch and adhered the image to the circle with dimensionals. I curled the petals a little with a bone folder. I stamped the sentiment with Memento Black ink directly onto the circle. I decorated the daisy with a Faceted Gold Gem.

Materials for this card:

I got myself involved in another challenge. This one is called just simple stamping. The challenge  was to create a simple Birthday card. This is my simple stamping challenge card.

Just like I said it couldn’t be more simpler. I think the color combination is what makes this card pop. What do you think? I used Bermuda Bay for my base card. My second layer is Coastal Cabana. The rest explains itself. My stamp set of choice was Stampin’Up! Painted Glass. Below is my material list for this card.

I started by using Gorgeous Grape cardstock for my base card. For my first layer I picked Highland Heather cardstock. A little display paper I had leftover served as my second layer. A Touch Of Fall

Hello and thank you for stopping by.

The month of August usually gives us already a small hint of fall being around the corner. The region I live really only has a very small hint. Here lately it’s still a friendly reminder that summer is not over just yet. Today we are battling 96F with a heat index of 106F. So yes, no fall in sight. But it didn’t change my mind to create a card with fall in mind. Let’s have a look:

I used the Country Home Stamp set from Stampin’Up! for this card. My base card is Gray Granite cardstock cut to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. My first layer is a piece of Basic Gray cardstock and I embossed it using the 3D Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder. One of my favorite folders. I had some display paper left over from last years holiday catalog where that set was first featured. I used a little on this card. I have a lot of paper left and I’m happy to sell off 6″ x 6″ country home display paper. Just in case you missed the sale in the 2018 Holiday catalog. I take PayPal and shipping is free. Send me a message or email me if you are interested in buying some of the display paper. Clicking on the image will send you to my PayPal link for payment.

There are 43 pieces of display paper for sale. Let me know how many pieces you like to purchase of a kind.

Getting back to my card. I cut a piece of Real Red Cardstock and adhered that to my first panel with dimensionals (as shown). On a piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the can image with black memento black ink and stamped a flower image on top of the can with the same ink. I colored the images with watercolor pencils. I inked the sides of the image display with Real Red ink. This is a very easy card. Please let me know if you have any questions and please leave me a comment. I love to hear from you.

Don’t forget to redeem your BONUS DAYS COUPONS this month. If you placed an order last month and it was $50 (before shipping and tax) you received a BONUS DAY COUPON or even more depending how much you spent. The code was send to you via email. Check your spam folders if you haven’t received any codes. Again I’m happy to help. Don’t let the coupon go to waste. You earned it!!

The new 2019 Holiday Catalog will make its debut on September 4th. Ask me how you can get your hands on a free catalog.

Happy Stampin Everyone and whatever part of the country you are, maybe you have a little taste of Fall. Enjoy it!!

Back To School

Hello Everyone and welcome to my blog.

With exactly one week away for a new school year to start I was inspired by this challenge from the paper players #PP453. All in honor of our hero’s, our teachers! A little story I like to share with you today is that my own daughter, who just graduated college, is starting her first teaching job. She is going to teach 6th grade English. I had the opportunity to help her set up her new classroom the other day and she was so excited about the upcoming school year and how she would use flexible seating for her students and so on. She set up this beautiful and very comfy reading area for her students which makes me want to go there and grab a book for myself. She decorated it with oversized chairs, blankets and a fluffy rug. Her students are going to love it. I couldn’t be more proud of this aspiring new teacher.

Introducing my daughter, she’ll make an awesome teacher.

This is the challenge given to us:

And this is what I came up with:

Now, besides using paper from Stampin’Up! I free handed everything else. No lie! I used an apple template which I found on Google, traced the apple on Real Red Cardstock and cut it out. I punched a small leave out with the Leaf Punch. That’s pretty much it. The cardstock I used for this project is Old Olive, Whisper White, Real Red and Basic Black. I had a piece of checkered display paper and adhered that to the front of the black cardstock piece.

I really would like to hear your opinion on this card.
